Job Summary

We are in the market for a seasoned website developer with an understanding of web development best practices and a keen eye for detail. This role demands managing multiple projects at once while creating and maintaining top-notch websites for our clients. As a website developer, for Websites That Elevate, you will be responsible for creating WordPress sites utilizing popular page builders such as Elementor or Divi. This includes designing and implementing visually appealing and functional websites optimized for speed, ensuring a smooth user experience.

Your duties will also encompass regular site maintenance to keep websites up-to-date, performing necessary updates, and troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise. Additionally, you will collaborate with designers to implement their visions effectively and ensure that all websites adhere to best practices for web development. Your role is crucial in delivering high-quality, reliable websites that meet client specifications and expectations. Collaboration is key as you liaise with different teams to ensure alignment of all visual content with our brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Development– Develop professional, high-quality WordPress websites using Elementor or Divi, streamlining the building process with best practices and minimal coding.
  • Website Maintenance – Handle maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting to ensure website performance, security and speed.

  • Website Hosting – Manage our cloud and virtual VPS website hosting settings and performance located on Siteground servers.
  • Minor Web Design – In addition to bringing provided designs and copy to life, you will occasionally be asked to carry an existing design’s look and feel through to new sections and pages.

Required Skills & Tools

  • Attention to Detail – Strong eye for design and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Team Player – Excellent work ethic and team player.
  • Time Management – Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Communication – Provide regular status updates and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Tools:

    • Proficient in using project management tool like Monday.com
    • Must use Slack for additional communication
    • Must be willing to create a WTE dedicated Google account
    • Must use LastPass for password management
    • Proficient in WordPress, Divi, Elementor, as well as CSS & HTML.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience taking PDF designs through to a completed website.
  • WordPress, Elementor & Divi experience are required.
  • Website maintenance & troubleshooting experience required.

Schedule/Hours:

Looking for 20-30 hours per week to start (Full-time work is an option after a 90 day probationary period). Schedule is flexible, but must be based in 7AM-3PM PT Monday-Friday.

Starting Pay:

$10+ depending on experience
